19 marzo, 2026WCR back brilliant science and bold ideas from around the world to uncover ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. The maximum budget allowed is GPB 275.000, but most three-year grants are around GPB 200.000.
Their goal is to find innovative and novel ideas with the potential to revolutionise the understanding of cancer and how to beat it. The grants are of 12 to 36 months, without prioritising any field of research. They welcome research that draws on epidemiological, behavioural and clinical data to provide a starting point for a new avenue of research. More information here.
Their Research Strategy recognises and supports daring and innovative science that tackled the unmet need in cancer research. The PI on the application must be a suitably qualified researcher (minimum of PhD followed by three years of research experience, or equivalent qualification or research experience).
