Brain and Behavior Research Foundation: Distinguished Investigator Grants 2026

The Foundation’s Distinguished Investigator Grant Program offers up to USD 100.000 for a one-year period and are provided for established scientists pursuing particularly innovative project ideas.

Guidelines:

• Applicants must be a full professor (or equivalent) and maintain peer-reviewed competitively funded scientific programs
• Applicants may not receive the award for a second time
• Funding is for one year and is up to USD 100.000
• Overhead at an 8% rate (excluding equipment) is allowed and must be included in the total budget request that must not exceed USD 100.000
• Applications must be completed and submitted online by Thursday, September 25, 2025 (11:59 pm ET)
• Requests for further information will be made to selected investigators
• Notification of awards will be mailed by March 2026 (no feedback will be provided, only funding notifications)
