Eligibility
- Applicants cannot have a researcher, student or fellow status simultaneously. PhD students cannot apply for a Research grant or Trampoline grant
- Previously funded applicants who have not submitted their final scientific and/financial reports to the AFM-Telethon as required will not be allowed to submit a new grant application until they have met this requirement

- Applicants who recommend external reviewers who are collaborators or who have a conflict of interest will be excluded
- Ethical or intellectual property documents, when needed, must be attached to the application in the section «description»
Research grants
The program is open to researchers or clinical investigators holding a permanent position or long-term contract (5 or more years), in an academic, governmental or private institution. For multi-team projects, only the PI must hold a permanent or a long-term position.
Proposals from groups outside France are strongly encouraged to include a French component.
The renewal for a second year will be considered based on:
- The acceptance by the AFM-Telethon of a 2-year funding project
- The submission by the applicant of an intermediate scientific and financial report in the «Award and post award» section within 18 months from the date of the signature of the previous Letter of Agreement
Trampoline grants
This award is meant to support:
- Young investigators early in their professional career
- Early stage innovative/high risk but potentially groundbreaking projects
The PI is considered «young» if he/she has obtained his/her PhD degree, or equivalent, in the last 10 years at the date of submission of the application.
PhD students cannot submit a Trampoline Grant.
Proposals from groups outside France are strongly encouraged to include a French component.
